If you have long hair you could use that:) The best way to cover it up is just use make up that matches the same tone as your skin.
try applying a a frozen spoon to it.
You can make sure our hair falls down over your neck, wear a high necked shirt, or facial cover up, and face powder work.
The best concealer around is Dermablend Smooth Indulgence. Grande Dame of cover-ups, stays put and incredible coverage and just a little does the job. $18, for .3oz dermablend.com
Or wear a pretty scarf tied around your neck.
Good luck, tell your husband to lay off when you have interviews. Men
rub the back of a metal spoon on it, relatively hard, it will lighten it up a bit, then maybe use some makeup to cover the rest of it..good luck on that!
Hold ice on the hickey for as long as you can stand it. Then do it again a little later. Worked when I was in High School.
well its basically a bruise so you could try putting some arnica cream on it. Its a homeopathic remedy for bruising that works best if you use it straight away to stop bruising but can also help make them go away. Then, it might fade a bit and makeup will be easier to put over it.
use make-up
Put a bandage on it! And if someone asks you why you have a bandage on, just say that you have a scratch from a cat!
Basic foundation to match your skin color applied with a light touch should help. There is nothing more noticable than too much cover up make-up. Depending on exactly where it is on your neck, a mock turtleneck or full turtleneck would conceal the bruise and if you wear a nice jacket you will have a pulled together look and no one will be the wiser.
boil an egg until it’s completely done, remove the shell then gently rub the egg onto your hickey for approx. 15 minutes. you’ll then find your love mark have went onto the egg.
Treat it like you would a bruise because that is what hickey’s are: broken blood vessels. Maybe wear a conservative shirt with your hair down. Also try using a heavy concealer. Also, if the interviewer notices (they shouldn’t but if you catch them glancing) then say you got it from a curling/straightening iron this morning as you were rushing to get ready!
Makeup is a good last resort, but it can smear off on your suit and then you look like you are wearing dirty clothes and have a hickey.
Do you have a nice scarf? Tie it “newscaster style” around your neck (accordion-fold it, and tie it tight at your throat with a knot on the side).
What about a high-collared blouse? Do you have one of those? They’re very fashionable right now (those old 70’s style blouses with the ruffly collars). If you don’t have one and you can spend a few bucks, go buy one. You’ll look stylish and nobody will see your neck.
You don’t say when you have the interview, but if you’ve got a day or two, go to the GNC or other nutrition store and get some Vitamin K cream. It lessens the appearance of broken capillaries and bruises. You’ll need to apply it a couple of times a day. It’s not icky, it’s just like regular lotion.
